IPC organized the first discussion of the COP31 Panel Series,"Venezuela, Greenland, Trump... How Will Geopolitical Upheaval Affect Global Climate Policies? (Venezuela, Grönland, Trump... Jeopolitik Altüst Oluş Küresel İklim Politikaları Nasıl Etkileyecek?)." The event took place on January 20 at IPC Karaköy, with the participation of Altay Atlı, Senem Aydın-Düzgit, and Soli Özel as speakers and Ümit Şahin as moderator.

The Initiative hosted the first meeting of the "Plastocene Talks" seminar series, "Anthropocene, Capitalocene, Plastocene: Welcome to the Plastic Age! (Antroposen, Kapitalosen, Plastosen: Plastik Çağına Hoşgeldiniz!)" inititated by 2025/26 Mercator-IPC Fellow Sedat Gündoğdu. The event was held on January 14 at IPC Karaköy with the participation of Utku Perktaş and moderated by Sedat Gündoğdu. 

IPC, in cooperation with Boğaziçi University and SEFiA, organized the conference titled "Just Transition: Regulatory Frameworks with EU Implementation and Financing Examples," which was held on January 13 at IPC Karaköy. The conference was held within the framework of the TÜBİTAK-supported project (Grant No. 123K509) led by Prof. Dr. Sevil Acar from Boğaziçi University.

Ümit Şahin was hosted at the "Nasıl Bir Dünya? Nasıl Bir Türkiye?" program titled “The Paris Agreement in its Tenth Year: COP31 Turkey” organized by the IPC-Sabancı University-Stiftung Mercator Initiative in cooperation with Medyascope.

IPC organized the second event in the series PARİS +10 to mark the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement. The event "The Paris Agreement in Its Tenth Year and Beyond (Onuncu Yılında Paris Anlaşması ve Ötesi) " was held with the participation of Semra Cerit Mazlum and Ömer Madra and moderated by Ümit Şahin on December 16 at IPC Karaköy.

IPC organized the event "From Farm to Table: Food, Culture and Politics Talks - Changing Flavor Maps from California to Istanbul (Tarladan Sofraya - Yemek, Kültür ve Siyaset Söyleşileri: Kaliforniya’dan İstanbul’a Değişen Lezzet Haritaları)," which was held with the participation of Levent Soysal as speaker and Zafer Yenal as moderator on December 16 at IPC Karaköy.

The Initiative organized the event "Synthetic Fashion and Beyond: Fast Fashion, Climate, Plastic and the Future of Textiles (Sentetik Moda ve Ötesi: Hızlı Moda, İklim, Plastik ve Tekstilin Geleceği),” convened by 2025/26 Mercator-IPC Fellow Sedat Gündoğdu with the participation of Selin Uğurtaş, Urska Trunk, İlkan Özkan, Cansu Sipahi, Beysu İnal Şenermen, Aslı Odman, İpek Yalçın Enis, and İlkşen Dedeoğlu Demiray on December 10 at IPC Karaköy.

Beysu İnal Şenermen and Sedat Gündoğdu were hosted at the "Nasıl Bir Dünya? Nasıl Bir Türkiye?" program titled “The Impact of Fast Fashion on the Environment, Health and Climate” organized by the IPC-Sabancı University-Stiftung Mercator Initiative in cooperation with Medyascope.

The panel was moderated by Climate Change Cluster Coordinator Ümit Şahin and featured Ayşe Ceren Sarı, Çiğdem Özbaş, Değer Saygın, Devin Bahçeci, Nuri Özbağdatlı, and Tanyeli Behiç Sabuncu as panelists.
