Report Launch: Decarbonization Pathway for Turkey: Net Zero in 2050

The main findings of the "Decarbonization Pathway for Turkey: Net Zero in 2050 (Türkiye'nin Karbonsuzlaşma Yol Haritası: 2050'de Net Sıfır)" report, which discusses how to monitor the path to decarbonize the Turkish economy by 2050 in order to keep global temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius in accordance with the Paris Agreement, were presented to the public by the team of researchers and authors on October 27.

The event continued with a movie screening that introduced the 2021/22 Mercator-IPC Fellows Anna Zadrożna, Arzu Karakulak, Ezgi Ediboğlu, Onur Sazak, Sibel Karadağ and Theocharis Grigoriadis.

Turkey at the Crossroads (Eşikteki Türkiye) 1

The Initiative and Ankara Institute Turkey initiated a new research and webinar series titled "Turkey at the Crossroads (Eşikteki Türkiye)" to understand the social, political, and economic dynamics of the transformation process that Turkey experiences closely and evaluate the interactions of social, political, and economic dynamics with national, regional, and global developments. The first webinar was held with the participation of Senem Aydın-Düzgit, Galip Dalay, Hatem Ete and Fuat Keyman on October 12.
