Dr. Lars Grotewold is the Director of Climate Action and the Director (interim) of Europe at Stiftung Mercator. He is the co-founder of numerous think tanks like Agora Energiewende and Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, as well as the journalistic hub Clean Energy Wire. He is a member or spokesperson of several supervisory and advisory boards to governmental and non-governmental organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in molecular genetics and worked in several research institutes in Germany and the U.K. Additionally, Grotewold worked for the National Council for Science and Humanities before joining Stiftung Mercator.
