Managing Editor and Researcher

Megan Gisclon is the Managing Editor and Researcher at Istanbul Policy Center. Her research interests include U.S.-Turkey relations, civil-military relations, and international order. She received her MA in Turkish Studies from Sabancı University in 2015 with a thesis on Turkish civil-military relations and the AKP, 2002-2007. She received her BA in History from Ashland University, Ohio, USA, with minors in political science, French, and classical civilizations. She studied in both France and South Korea during her undergrad. Prior to her full-time position, Megan was an editing intern at IPC as well as a teaching assistant in the Writing Center at Sabanci University. Her articles have appeared in Hurriyet Daily News, Turkish Policy Quarterly, and the German Marshall Fund’s On Turkey series (with Fuat Keyman).
