De-risking the Future: An Investment Framework for Renewable Energy in Türkiye

The objective of the project “De-risking the Future: An Investment Framework for Renewable Energy in Türkiye” is to co-develop an investment framework in close collaboration with domestic stakeholders that reduces the financial risks of renewable energy projects in Türkiye. This will accelerate the deployment of renewables, lower capital costs, and ultimately contribute to the development of a secure, cost-effective, and climate-aligned energy system. In the bigger picture, the expansion of renewable energy is key to transforming the Turkish economy toward climate neutrality by providing green and affordable electricity for the electrification of industry, buildings, and transport. Furthermore, this transformation presents the opportunity to position Türkiye as a green energy hub between Europe and Asia.
