The Initiative organized a panel discussion titled “The 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey: An Evaluation of Turkey-Europe Relations and Expectations,” with IKV Secretary General Çiğdem Nas, TEPAV EU Studies Center Director Nilgün Arısan-Eralp, IPC Director Fuat Keyman, and IPC Research and Academic Affairs Coordinator Senem Aydın-Düzgit as speakers. The panel was held at the Mercator Center Berlin on November 7, 2023 and was moderated by Mercator-IPC Fellowship Program Coordinator Pelin Oğuz
Pelin Oğuz
Pelin Oğuz is Mercator-IPC Fellowship Program Coordinator. She received her PhD in Political Science from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2016. Her dissertation is titled as: “The politics of nature and neoliberalism: An assessment of the impact of Hydroelectric Power plants on Local Populations”. She has publications focusing on politics of nature.

Fuat Keyman
Fuat Keyman is the Director of the Istanbul Policy Center; Vice President for Institutional Affairs and Social Impact, and Professor of International Relations at Sabancı University. Keyman is a leading political scientist in Turkey and an expert on globalization, democratization, international relations, Turkey – EU relations, Turkish foreign policy, and civil society development.
Senem Aydın Düzgit
Senem Aydın-Düzgit is the Director of Istanbul Policy Center and a Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabancı University.
