IPC-Sabancı University-Stiftung Mercator Initiative convened a workshop on “Development and Trends in Turkish and German Geography: Aims, Tasks and Fields of Research in a Modern Spatial Science” on July 12, 2013 at IPC. The meeting was initiated by Mercator-IPC Senior Fellow Klaus Kreiser.

Klaus Kreiser is Emeritus Professor at Bamberg University in the Department of Turkish Language, History and Culture.  Previously, he held the chair of Turkish Language, History and Civilization at Bamberg University until 2002.
