IPC Pre-COP: Final Discussions Before Antalya
As COP31 in Antalya approaches, Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) invites you to "IPC Pre-COP: Final Discussions Before Antalya" on October 23, 2026.
Where do climate negotiations stand just weeks before COP31? How are shifting geopolitical dynamics, conflicts, and challenges to international cooperation shaping climate diplomacy? And what concrete outcomes should we expect from Antalya?
The full-day event will open with a keynote address by Jennifer Morgan, followed by a keynote speech from Semra Cerit Mazlum in the afternoon, focusing on COP31 negotiations and the Action Agenda.
Throughout the day, we will explore some of the most pressing issues on the COP31 agenda, including transitioning away from fossil fuels, keeping the 1.5°C goal within reach, just transition, adaptation, and climate finance. The IPC Climate Team will offer short briefings on key negotiation topics, and we will close with a civil society forum discussing how to follow and influence the COP31 process.
Date: Friday, 23 October 2026
Time: 10:00–16:30
