Memorial Ceremony of Our Director, Prof. Dr. Fuat Keyman, at Sabancı University
Director of Istanbul Policy Center (IPC), Sabancı University Vice Rector for Institutionalization and Social Contribution Processes, and Professor of International Relations, our esteemed professor E. Fuat Keyman was commemorated in a special ceremony organized by Sabancı University on October 23, 2024.
This meaningful commemoration ceremony held on the Sabancı University Campus was attended by Professor Keyman’s family, friends, students, and many names from the academic community. The ceremony, attended by Sabancı University Founding Board of Trustees Chair Güler Sabancı, Sabancı University members, and IPC employees, was full of memories and heartfelt speeches that traced Professor Keyman’s life and contributions.
Those who knew Professor Keyman and were inspired by him shared various aspects of his life, from his academic studies to his intellectual vision, from his social sensitivity to his understanding of leadership. The stories shared by his colleagues and friends exhibited the care that he showed in building bridges between society and academia, his commitment to Sabancı University and IPC, and the values he brought to Turkey, once again revealing his unique legacy.
The memories shared throughout the ceremony revealed not only Professor Keyman’s academic achievements but also his humanitarian achievements. The legacy left by Professor Keyman, a respected thought leader both in Turkey and in the international arena, will always continue to be our guide.
