Pandemic and Society Webinar Series - “Climate Change and Food Security During the Pandemic”
The meeting titled “Climate Change and Food Security During the Pandemic” as part of the "Pandemic and Society" webinar series, which we organized to find collective solutions to problems, analyze potential common ground, and exchange ideas supported by academic research during the Coronavirus outbreak, took place on July 13th with the participation of Fikret Adaman, Hilal Elver, Ümit Şahin, and Zafer Yenal.
Fikret Adaman
Fikret Adaman is a 2021/22 Mercator-IPC Senior Fellow and a professor of economics at Boğaziçi University. Adaman completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics at Boğaziçi University and his PhD at Manchester University.

Ümit Şahin is Senior Scholar and the Head of Climate Change Program at Istanbul Policy Center.

Zafer Yenal
Before joining Sabancı University and IPC in September 2024, Zafer Yenal served as a professor of sociology at Boğaziçi University since 2000.
