The press conference titled “Coal Phase-Out and Just Transition in Türkiye,” organized by IPC as part of COP29, took place on November 15, 2024. At the event, the findings of the project “Promoting Just Transition in Türkiye,” were shared with the public. Speakers included Ümit Şahin, IPC Coordinator of Climate Change Studies; Onur Akgül, Project Coordinator and Researcher at IPC; and Anabella Rosemberg, Senior Strategist on Just Transition and Climate Justice at Climate Action Network.
